Out of Character
•RESPECT – This is the number one rule we have here. Use reasonable judgment while talking to others and do not cause problems. You will be warned once before finding yourself removed from the site entirely. We do not tolerate disrespectful people and don’t condone any sort of behavior relating to such things.
•RATING – Our OOC rating is simply a PG-13 rating. There might be some vulgarity but anything other than that is strictly prohibited when writing out of character. This is entirely different from our in character rating so please understand that there is a difference.
•LIMITS – We allow each member the opportunity to create as many characters as they wish. If you create more than one character you must be active with each character to continue playing them all.
•ACTIVITY – Every member is required to post at least once every 10 days else they will be removed for inactivity. This mean that your character will be up for grabs. If you wish to rejoin, you’ll have to go about the entire process that new members go through and create a new character.
In Character
•RATING – We are rated PG-13. As a friendly role play community, it is required that you act respectfully against peoples threads. If you read a thread and do not like what is written do not complain.
•MARKING – Threads should be marked according to who they are for. We prefer the following used, though you’re welcome to use your own if they differ from ours. Please try to keep to our general idea though EX: A Strange Encounter [Annabeth, Marie]
•WRITING – Everyone is required to use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. If you have issues with this please notify an administrator immediately so we don’t contact you to give you a warning. We are understanding people and we won’t discriminate if you come to us before we have to come to you.
•PP/GM – Power Playing and God-moding are strictly forbidden! We will not tolerate anyone using Mary Sue or John Doe characters. No one is perfect and no one can control anyone else’s character without their permission. Please state that GM/PP is being done with permission in the OOC section of your post so we know you’re being okayed to do so.
•TENSE – When writing your post, we require that everyone keeps to third person point of view. Anyone who uses something other than this when posting will be warned only once before being given any specific punishment. Any other tense is just too awkward for others to read, especially if we are all writing in third person and you’ve decided to write different than that.
Other
•GRAPHICS – Graphics are more than recommended and suggested here. Please keep your avatars at a maximum size of 200x300 pixels, your signatures at no greater than 270x180 pixels, and if they exceed these dimensions your signature will be removed and we’ll PM a comment explaining why. In your Application you will need this secret code: Purple Owl.
•POST – It is required that you try to make each post no shorter than 100 words. We’re not going to go around to keep track of word counts, not unless you continuously make short posts that look like they’re not reaching the minimum requirement, however it is only polite to at least try to match your fellow poster's length. Also, we do not allow anyone to place-hold a thread, meaning no 'POST COMING!'s, etc. Violators will immediately have their post removed and they will be warned via personal message. An exception to this rule is postings in the "Communications" category.
