Aurora's Application
OOC Name: You can all me Brit or Aurora since that’s my username, either way, it’s whichever works for you. I don't personally care. ^^''Character Name: -- Aurora
Gender: -- Female
Species: Human
Role-play Sample: Keeping her eyes on him she watched him in silence, her cheeks till puffy as she pouted a bit. ‘Seriously is he gonna tell me or not?’ she continued to pout more to herself as she kept her eyes on him like a hawk. Watching mimic her however caused her to stop and look away, crossing her arms. However that didn’t stop Lupin as he raced ahead of here and turned to face, his arms up behind his head,
"Huh. Let's see. I could be unprofessional and tell you I'll get to it whenever I feel like it, but since I'm trying to make a good first impression as your rival and neighbor, I'm going to say one week. That's seven days. 168 hours from now, and you will have your custom delivered free samples, courtesy of the Tasty Tounju."
“A week, huh? Well I guess it’s not that bad, but still I don’t like secrets.” She told him again in a pouting manner before picking up her pace as Lupin began to cough a little . Pretty soon they’d be at her house, however with his cough being like that her sniffling every now and then she was pretty sure the two of them would definitely be sick in the morning. However Lupin seemed to disagree as he spoke, "No idea what you're talking about. I'm fit as a fruit-bat, with piping hot lungs of steel. You sure you're not the one getting sick there? Looks like the snow is eating your legs."
Hearing his questions she simply shook her head, “I never said I wasn’t.” she told him a bit teasingly as she sniffled a bit and continued through the snow. It was the truth though she never once denied that she was getting sick at least not that she could recall. Feeling his eyes on her she made it her mission to quicken the pace ever so slightly. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust him, but she really just didn’t like it when people stared at her for long periods of time. It tended to make her a bit uneasy not to mention paranoid over her actions, not to mention a bit clumsy after awhile.
After telling him that she really didn’t have any plans she couldn’t help but wonder just what all her friends here in Conamu were going to be doing for the holiday. Surely they’d have invited her if they were going to have a party or something. Wouldn’t they have? Even still she found herself telling all about Christmas in Karaka and how it turns into a giant event for everyone. "Never heard of a village gathering to open gifts together. Sounds... cozy "
“It really is. I guess you could say that’s the thing I’ll miss most. The way Christmas is back home compared to here.” She told him with a small smile as she thought about her grandfather and her younger sister. Surely they’d be getting ready to go to bed by now, with Ayame jumping excitedly at the mere thought of opening a present in the morning. Snapping out of her head, she listened as he explained just who the sevens where.
“Tomorrow, I'll be taking the Sevens... ah right, they're my adopted kid brother and sisters from the cursed isle. Girdy, Mirtle, Curdy, Kirk, Birdie, Herby, and Kirby. This would be their first Chr---"
Just as Lupin was going into detail, she couldn’t help but watch him slam right into the tree behind him. Raising her hands to her mouth she stared over at him. The forest seemed to get eerily silent when all the snow from the tree came crashing down from its limbs.
“Ooh! Are-are you alright?” she managed to stammer with a bit of smile, which she knew was rude but she just couldn’t help it. It was quite a sight after all at least for her. However it didn’t take him too long to compose himself and get right back into the conversation,
"Like I was saying. For their first Christmas on the mainland, we'll be celebrating Picopico style, near the top of the mountain so don't disturb the peace around here. We'll have a big bonfire that the lady-folk like more since, you know, the special wood burns sweeter than your usual timber. Then sure. There will be food, presents for the young kids, and exchanges between lovers and such. We'll toss wishing papers into the flames to thank the Goddess for snow. But mostly there will be lots and lots of dancing. WUAPOW!"
Smiling a bit as he told her the way Christmas was celebrated in his hometown she couldn’t help but wonder why Conamu didn’t do something similar. It sounded fun enough. "Tell me you know what a fire dance is. You can't say you've never danced on Christmas, yeah?"
“Well I have danced before but not normally on Christmas. We used to have them every now and then, fire dances that is, normally when we had a big harvest or something worth celebrating.” she told him.
